Community Impact and Resilience Survey

People's lives changed in many different ways because of the events of October 25, 2023.

Your experiences matter and can help us better understand recovery across our community.

The Maine Resiliency Center is conducting the Community Impact and Resilience Survey to learn how life has changed since 10/25/2023, what has helped along the way, and what resources may still be needed.

Below are three versions of our survey. By participating in the one that best fits your experience, you'll help inform future support, services, and community resilience efforts.

Thank you for sharing your experience and helping shape our community's continued recovery.

Community Survey

For anyone who would like to share how the events of October 25 affected them.  You do not need to have been directly impacted to participate. If the events of 10/25 affected your daily routines, relationships, sense of safety, or connection to the community, we want to hear from you.

Estimated time: About 4 minutes

Why are we conducting these surveys?

The Maine Resiliency Center was asked to help better understand how people and the community continue to be affected by the events of October 25, 2023.

The information gathered will help us better understand:

  • How people's lives have changed over time

  • What has helped people recover and adapt

  • What needs or concerns remain today

  • Where gaps in support or services may exist

  • How we can strengthen community resilience for the future

This effort is about listening and learning from people's experiences. Survey results will be summarized and shared publicly to help inform future planning, services, and community resilience efforts.

Privacy

Your participation is voluntary. Responses are anonymous, and you may skip any question you do not wish to answer.

Individual responses will never be shared publicly. Survey findings will be combined and summarized to help us understand overall community experiences.

Accessibility

Each survey includes American Sign Language (ASL) video interpretation for every question.

This webpage also includes an ASL video explaining the purpose of the surveys, how the information will be used, and why participation matters.

If you need another accommodation to participate, please contact the Maine Resiliency Center.

Timeline

The surveys will remain open throughout July.

After the survey closes, responses will be reviewed and combined into a summary report that will help inform future planning, services, and community resilience efforts.
