Danielle Parent JD, LCSW
Director
dparent@community-concepts.orgDanielle is a licensed clinical social worker who brings extensive experience in mental health program development and implementation to her role as Director of the MRC. Danielle graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a Masters in social work and a Juris Doctorate in Law. Her unique combination of clinical expertise and legal training provides the MRC with strategic leadership and oversight for all aspects of the center’s operations. In addition to guiding clinical best practices and ensuring accessibility, she supports the MRC through building strategic community partnerships and serving as the center's primary contact with stakeholders, policymakers, and funders.
Danielle enjoys a balance of relaxing at home with her two dogs (Tuukka and Moose) with outdoor activities like camping, kayaking, and sitting by the fire.

Meredith Stack MS, LCPC
Program Manager
mstack@community-concepts.orgMeredith is a licensed clinical professional counselor and life-long Mainer who grew up in Brunswick. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Maine at Farmington and a Master's in Counseling from the University of Southern Maine. As Program Manager for the Maine Resiliency Center, she leads initiatives dedicated to supporting victims of mass violence through trauma-informed care and community connection. Meredith is passionate about ensuring victims of mass violence have access to the information, education, support, and resources that are crucial to fostering individual and community resilience. With extensive experience in community-based mental health services, she brings both clinical expertise and compassionate leadership to this vital work.
Meredith enjoys exploring Maine’s beautiful landscapes and getting outside — downhill skiing, hiking, and canoeing along our lakes and rivers…or taking excessive pictures of her two cats, Oscar and Louie.

Joanna Stokinger MS, CA
Lead Advocate/Navigator
jstokinger@community-concepts.orgBefore becoming an Advocate/Navigator with the Maine Resiliency Center in January 2024, Joanna had a 22-year career in criminal justice, much of that time spent in prosecution-based victim advocacy. She has a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and a master's degree in criminology. She is currently Lead Advocate with the MRC and is a co-leader of the Parents Of Murdered Children, Inc.’s Maine Chapter. She has spoken at several national conferences about victim advocacy and her role as an advocate and a survivor. Joanna is passionate about crime victims' rights, being a good human, and helping victims through their journeys.
Joanna loves thrifting, crafting, eating good food, and reading. She lives in Winslow, Maine with her husband of 28 years (Brent), their dog (Ginger) their two cats (Linda and Cisco), is the proud mom of two wonderful adult children (Tessah and Jakob).

Elizabeth Rogers BS, MHRT-CSP
Advocate/Navigator
erogers@community-concepts.orgElizabeth was born and raised in Maine and graduated from Lisbon High School. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mental Health and Human Services from the University of Maine. Before joining the MRC, Elizabeth spent over 20 years in community-based mental health and crisis intervention. Elizabeth’s background, experience, and natural empathy make her an invaluable member of the MRC team, supporting individuals navigating trauma and connecting them with vital resources. She finds fulfillment in being part of the collaborative MRC team committed the mission of helping victims of mass violence rebuild their lives.
Elizabeth loves going to the ocean (her happy place), walking her dog, camping, fun culinary experiences, traveling, and anything that involves her family.

Abby Cote
Administrative Manager
acote@community-concepts.orgAbby is a proud Lewiston native and graduate of Lewiston High School’s Class of 2011. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Business from Boston College, concentrating in media marketing.
With more than a decade of agency experience, Abby has worked across a wide range of advertising and marketing mediums, including public relations, events and experiential activations, advertising, and social media. In 2023, she co-founded the Maine Strong Memorial Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing temporary financial relief to Maine families facing unexpected tragedy. Since its inception, the foundation has raised more than $267,000 in support of those impacted by the 10/25 shooting, including direct contributions to the Maine Resiliency Center.
Abby lives in Lisbon with her husband (also a 2011 Lewiston grad), their two daughters—Callan (2) and Lilah (3 months)—and their golden retriever, Macy. In her free time, she loves being on the lake, diving into a good book (especially with a book club), enjoying concerts, great food, and, most of all, spending time with family.

Thomas Minch
Advocate/Navigator - Deaf Services
tminch@drme.orgTommy, a New Hampshire native, pursued his higher education at Gallaudet University and the Rochester Institute of Technology. He takes immense pride in being a father to his son, Hunter, and is an active member of the National Association of the Deaf. Tommy's dedication to his field was recognized in 2024 when he received the Morton Bard Allied Professional Award at the NOVA Conference.
His passion for advocacy and equal communication access ignited during his high school years at a youth leadership training camp. In his leisure time, Tommy enjoys camping, traveling, and embarking on spontaneous adventures.
