Support Group - Navigating Trauma: Understanding What’s Happening & What Helps

This is a support group for adults impacted by the mass violence event of 10/25/2023 in Lewiston that will be on Mondays at 5:30PM running from September 14 - October 26th.

Group will begin with a segment of psychoeducation where the facilitators will provide information on the effects traumatic events can have on our brains and bodies.

Group participants are then invited to share their experiences, or "symptoms", and learn skills from facilitors and peers about how to manage those. Examples could be difficulty sleeping, panic attacks, flashbacks, fear of going into the community, or other ways that your life has changed since 10/25/2023.

While attendance to all dates this group is encouraged to benefit you the most, drop-in on dates that work best for you is also welcome.

This group is facilitaed by Rachel Dyer, LCPC and Meagan McDougal, LCSW.

If ASL interpretation is needed, please contact the Friday prior.
